Common questions
What's the license model?
fluera_canvas (MIT) — free forever, on pub.dev, ship in any product. fluera_canvas_gpu (commercial) — annual subscription €399 / €1,499 / Enterprise. Honor system: no license keys, no telemetry, no enforcement runtime. You self-certify your tier annually.
What happens if I don't renew the subscription?
Perpetual fallback. You keep the last version you received during the active subscription, forever, for ongoing development and distribution of your Licensee Applications. You lose access to the private repo, future updates, and support — but nothing in production breaks. (Standard MUI X / Tailwind UI hybrid model.)
How does delivery work?
Paddle Checkout (overlay) → enter your GitHub username on the success page → instant invite to the private fluera_canvas_gpu repo (read-only collaborator). Add it to your project via pubspec_overrides.yaml. Email with welcome + EULA PDF + Discord invite within 60 seconds.
What are the dev / MAU / revenue caps about?
Soft trigger to upgrade tier honestly. Indie targets a single developer building one or two apps with realistic indie scale. If you grow past 10k MAU or your Licensee revenue passes €200k/year, please upgrade to Team. We don't audit by default — but reserve the right under standard contractual audit clauses.
Who actually charges my card?
Paddle.com is our Merchant of Record. They handle the transaction, VAT/GST/sales-tax compliance worldwide, the customer portal for invoices and cancellations, and refunds. Your statement will read 'PADDLE.NET* FLUERA'. We get a clean monthly net payout — and you don't have to worry about which country's tax law applies.
Are EUR / VAT prices final?
Prices shown are net of VAT. Paddle calculates and adds the appropriate tax per buyer location at checkout (EU VAT, US sales tax, Australian GST, …). EU B2B buyers can enter a valid VAT number for reverse-charge. Receipts and tax-compliant invoices are available in the Paddle customer portal linked from your welcome email.
Can I try before I buy?
fluera_canvas (the MIT core) is fully functional and lets you build a real drawing app today. The commercial GPU SDK isn't free to trial yet — first 10 design partners get a 30-day full-refund window if not satisfied. Email support@fluera.dev to be considered.

What's the binary size impact?
fluera_canvas core adds ~2 MB to a Flutter app. fluera_canvas_gpu adds ~5 MB on Android (arm64 + armv7 + x86_64 native plugin) plus 550 KB texture assets. iOS / macOS adds less because Metal is system-provided. Web adds ~1 MB (WebGPU shaders).
